1. Information We Collect
When you sign in via Google OAuth, we collect: your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID. When you purchase Beats, we additionally collect: your artist name, PayPal transaction IDs, and IP address. We also collect: pages visited, beats played, downloads, and device/browser type for analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; process purchases and deliver Beat files; generate license agreements with your name/artist name; communicate with you (welcome emails, purchase confirmations); prevent fraud; administer the referral program. Your artist name and real name are included in license agreements and may be used for publishing registration (PRO/MLC).
3. Publishing and Music Industry Data
When you download a Beat (free or paid), your name and artist name are recorded for music publishing purposes. This information may be shared with performing rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI), the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC), and publishing administrators to facilitate royalty collection. This sharing is necessary for the proper administration of music publishing rights.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for: session management, language preference (bp_lang), theme preference (bp_theme), and referral tracking (bp_ref). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: PayPal (for payment processing); Google (for authentication); music publishing organizations (as described in section 3). We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Purchase records and license agreements are retained indefinitely for legal and publishing purposes. You may request account deletion by contacting hello@beatpull.com. Note: license records cannot be deleted as they constitute legal agreements.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption, secure session handling, and password-less authentication (Google OAuth) to protect your data. Payment information is handled entirely by PayPal and never stored on our servers.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; request deletion (subject to legal obligations); data portability; object to processing. Contact hello@beatpull.com to exercise these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
